Rep. Josh S. Cutler, in partnership with the Pembroke Council on Aging, is pleased to host “We Are All In This Together”, a human services forum. The event will be held Friday, April 28 at the Pembroke Council on Aging (144 Center St) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00p.m.
“We Are All In This Together” serves as opportunity for state and local human service providers to explain services that are available to residents and how eligible residents can obtain assistance. Topics to be covered will include how to get access to legal services, housing and rental assistance, fuel assistance, property tax relief, elder services, veteran’s benefits and more.
“We all need a helping hand now and then, but figuring out where to go and how to get that help can daunting. Our goal here is to bring together local nonprofits and state agencies that offer assistance and connect them with folks who many need help for themselves or a family member,” said Rep. Cutler. “Whether it’s tapping into fuel assistance programs, helping avoid home foreclosure, or qualifying for benefits earned as a veteran, there are lots of resources out there.”
The event will host several agencies, included but not limited to; South Shore Community Action Council, South Coastal Counties Legal Services, Housing Solutions of the South Shore, Old colony Elder Services, Massachusetts Dept. of Transitional Assistance, and Pembroke Town Assessor.
This is a free event open to all residents of Pembroke, Duxbury & Hanson. Lunch will be provided by Rep. Cutler. RSVP’s are requested in order to get an accurate head count for lunch. RSVP to Cole Angley at cole.angley@mahouse.gov, call 617-722-2060 or sign up at the Pembroke Senior Center.
